Rebecca has been working with animals since 2007 when she got her first job at a pet shop. Although she always had a love for animals, this was the job that gave her the motivation needed to push through school which would eventually lead her to complete the veterinary nursing program at Oulton College in New Brunswick. By 2013 she became a Registered Veterinary Technician and has been working in veterinary medicine throughout Newfoundland, the Maritimes and now Ottawa.

By November 2018 she joined the parrot partners crew as a weekly volunteer to gain more experience working with a variety of birds. From there on out she began looking into courses on animal behavior and training. In September 2019 she became Fear Free Certified as a veterinary professional and implemented progressive fear free experiences for her patients.  Now graduated from Karen Pryor Academy, she is ready to further help people work through their pets challenges.

Rebecca also works alongside Dr. Meghan Connolly (DVM, DACVB resident) at Atlantic Veterinary Behavior to provide the best chance of success in helping pets with behavioural disorders.

In her spare time she enjoys playing video games and board games with friends, watching movies, taking nature walks and hanging out with her crew Meatball the Red Footed Tortoise, Hodari and Mikey the African Grey.
